Professional licensure requirements vary by state and U.S. territory. The University may only enroll students in a licensure program if they are located in a state/U.S. territory that accepts our program to meet the educational requirements for licensure in their state/U.S. territory. Alternatively, students may complete an attestation that they intend to seek employment in a state/U.S. territory that accepts our program. Certain disclosures to students are required related to the acceptance of the institution’s program by states/U.S. territories for licensure purposes. The regulations apply to new Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Êͼ¿â students applying directly into a licensure program and to continuing TXWES students who seek a change of program into a licensure program effective July 1, 2024.
Texas Wesleyan has contacted state and U.S. territory licensing authorities to confirm whether its programs meet the educational requirements leading to professional licensure. Other requirements may include professional certification exams, background checks and work experience, among others.
While Texas Wesleyan will update the information here every May, requirements can change throughout the year. If you intend to practice outside of Texas, you should contact the appropriate licensing authority to verify whether Texas Wesleyan's programs meet licensure requirements before enrolling.
